Ghana - May 2007

This was my first crusade ministry trip to Africa. Ghana is an extremely hot and humid country, very different from Toronto! But the people are wonderful and have such a deep yearning and desire to be fed with the things of God. Our crusade services ran from Monday through to Thursday. We held the open air meetings in an area that according to local pastors is an extremely hard area for the gospel to penetrate. I sensed strong demonic activity in the area and felt much resistance in the spirit, not to mention personal health problems as well. But our God rules over all. We saw some amazing fruit during the services. We had about 30 people saved during the four days. Considering the area, this is said to be a record number of salvations for a single series of meetings.  I was told that a recent 5 day crusade resulted in not one salvation!  I am so grateful to the Lord, for it was His love and power, that drew the people to Him. In fact his presence was so strong that people who were in bars nearby or shop owners across the street who heard the preaching of the gospel gave their hearts to the Lord!  The gospel indeed is the power of God unto salvation! I also believe that many were healed by God's power as always. We had one testimony of a dear lady who had suffered from epilepsy all her life, but was miraculously healed during the crusade.

There was a disappointment with respect to the length of the crusade. We had planned on holding two full weeks of services, but due to an unexpected ban on outdoor events in the city for a month, we were only able to hold services for 4 days.  The rest of my time there I preached in churches.  Leading many more to the Lord, and encouraging the believers in the faith, encouraging them to walk with God and believe Him for the impossible.  In all we believe there were 44 decisions for salvation!

I also had the privilege of speaking at a Christian university in Accra, Ghana with about 600 students in attendance. One young student accepted Christ as her Saviour that morning.  It was amazing to see their passion for the Lord.

During my trip I was invited to travel to Nigeria for four days of crusade services.   And although arrangements were being made, I could not attend due to lack of time and conflict with my return date to Toronto.   But the Pastors there are excited about having me minister in their country as well and I pray that the Lord's will be done. Also, greater doors are opening in Ghana for a major crusade in the fall. Please pray!

Please do keep me and the ministry in your prayers as we are seeking the mind of God about future ministry events. Your prayers and support will be much appreciated.

Finally, I would like to mention again that even though I love traveling for the gospel and ministering to people around the world, my hearts passion and desire is to see our country - Canada, see a mighty revival, where our people will turn to Jesus with all of their hearts. Yes, Canada shall be saved!!

Thank you for your friendship and support!

God Bless
